Texas has landed arguably the most electrifying WR in the nation in Trinity (KY) WR Rondale Moore. Moore isn’t the tallest guy as he’s only around 5’9, and that may be giving him a little bit but Moore saying Moore is a freak athlete is an understatement.
Just to understand, every recruit who attends the Opening regional is tested and is given a SPARQ score. The testing consists of the 40 yard dash, 20 yard shuttle, vertical jump, and a power ball throw. Moore had the highest rated score out of every recruit in the nation and ran a 4.33 40, a 4.01 shuttle, and a 42,7 inch vertical (!!). He also has a bench max of around 300 pounds and a squat max around 500. For a 5’9 175 pound WR, that is just downright insane.
Texas offered Moore in late May and it looked like Ohio State and the hometown Louisville Cardinals were the favorites for him, but all that changed after his Texas visit over the weekend. He was blown away, spent a lot of time with QB commits Cam Rising and Casey Thompson and knew Texas was where he wanted to be. We were told he thought about committing over the weekend but wanted to talk things over with his family first.
Moore is Texas’ 12th commit to their early Top 5 class, and the 2nd WR commit along with FL WR Justin Watkins. If Texas can hang onto Moore and Watkins, that would be one heck of an out of state WR duo for the Longhorns.
