– Al’Vonte Woodard: Texas will host another top target over the weekend in Hou.Lamar (TX) WR Al’Vonte Woodard. This is Woodard’s first visit of the summer, and Texas is in his Top 5 with Texas A&M, LSU, Ohio State, and Ole Miss. Right now I think Texas’ biggest threat is Ohio State, but Woodard has never been up to Columbus.

I really like where Texas sits in this one, and if they were signing today it would look like one of his teammates in D’Shawn Jamison would be heading to Texas and the other in Anthony Cook would be heading to Ohio State. That could be a big reason why the Buckeyes are near the top in this one. I was told Woodard plans to make a commitment this summer and if that happens I like Texas’ chances. – (Andrew)

– Rafiti Ghirmai: ICYMI from yesterday, Wakeland (TX) OT Rafiti Ghirmai plans to visit Texas today as Texas holds another mini-camp on campus. Texas has a chance to pull into the lead for Ghirmai, as LSU has slipped, and he will visit Alabama later this week. Ghirmai also plans to make a commitment this summer so keep an eye on this one…

– Deondrick Glass: Texas extended a big 2019 offer this morning to Katy (TX) RB Deondrick Glass. I was surprised it took RB coach Stan Drayton this long to extend the offer, as Glass and IMG Academy ’19 RB Noah Cain will be the 1A and 1B RB targets in 2019. Could Texas start a Katy to Texas RB pipeline going? As they already have former Katy Tiger star RB Kyle Porter.

– Texas Mini-Camp: Texas will hold another mini-camp in Austin today and there will be some interesting names in attendance.

One of the biggest 2018 names is FW Paschal (TX) WR Jaylon Robinson, who recently decommitted from Texas Tech and picked up an Oklahoma offer. I’m not sure if an offer could be coming for Robinson, as Texas already holds one WR commitment and is in a really good spot for guys like Brennan Eagles and Al’Vonte Woodard. But Robinson is electric.

Another guy is 2020 Aledo (TX) RB Jase McClellan, who already holds offers from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Georgia, Michigan, and more.

2019 RB Isaiah Spiller who picked up recent offers from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and TCU will also be there.

We will keep everyone updated on any possible new offers coming from the camp.

– UPDATE (2:45 PM): A few more visitors added for Texas today and one is a huge one in Conroe Oak Ridge (TX) DE Joseph Ossai as EJ Holland of 247 Sports first reported. Texas A&M has been his leader for awhile, but getting him on campus is big news for Texas.

The other is Upland (CA) ’19 QB David Baldwin who is in town for the camp.

2019 Sachse (TX) DE Hunter Spears is another one. Hre was offered early on by Alabama and Notre Dame before tearing his ACL at the Rivals camp in April. He is still rehabbing from surgery so he is going to visit, not workout. I really like his game though and he has been in contact with DL coach Osacar Giles frequently.

– UPDATE (8:20PM): Another huge visitor is in Austin as Hou. Westfield (TX) DT Keondre Coburn tells me he is visiting Texas today. He’s the top DT in the state of Texas and is #1 on Texas’ board.
