Sources on the Texas side tell me that they are expected Moore to make the trip to Austin this upcoming weekend when Texas will be hosting a number of top targets. I’m also told that Moore is a take right now. The staff seems to be impressed with his speed and overall twitch which was on full display at the regional Opening when he ran a national best, 4.33 40. – (Super K)
– Cam Rising: Rondale will get an up close look at the man who could be throwing him the ball at Texas. I spoke with the father of Texas QB commit, Cameron Rising and he tells me that Camerson will make the trip to Texas this upcoming weekend.
Having Rising on campus with guys like Rondale, Eagles, Waddle and others should bode well for Texas. – (Super K)
– Grant Tisdale: When it comes to Texas and 2019 QB’s, Port Neches-Groves (TX) QB Roschon Johnson has been the #1 guy. But another guy that Texas fans need to keep an eye on is Allen (TX) QB Grant Tisdale. He holds offers from Ohio State, Oregon, Oklahoma State, and about 10 other schools and he hasn’t even started a varsity game at QB for Allen. That’s the big reason why Texas hasn’t offered yet.
I spoke with Tisdale recently and he recently camped at Texas. He told me, “It was great, I got to sit down with my family and Coach Herman and Beck for the first time.” The talk of a possible offer was a topic but Tisdale said “Coach Beck said he really likes my game but they want to see me in game action since I haven’t started for a full season yet. I also really liked how Coach Herman wanted to get to know my family.”
When I asked him about Texas specifically, Tisdale said “I love Texas. From the campus as a whole, to the coaches and players. An offer would give me a lot to think about for sure.” Tisdale is going into his Junior season, and he told me he doesn’t have a set time of when he wants to commit but would like to have something done before he starts his senior season and get recruiting for his 2019 class.
Both Roschon Johnson and Grant Tisdale are really good players, as of right now I’d give Tisdale the edge as a passer and Johnson the edge as a runner. One factor with Tisdale that is very intriguing is that he is very close with a lot of recruits. Two of those guys that he calls “family” is 5-star RB Noah Cain and 5-star WR Theo Wease who plays with him at Allen. – (Andrew)
– More on Tisdale: I’ve recently heard from a source on the Texas side that Tisdale has moved up to the top target on their 2019 QB board. It’s become apparent that when Herman sets his eye on a prize, he tends to walk away with it. If my source is correct, and I have no reason to believe he isn’t, then there’s a very good chance that Tisdale will be the guy. – (Super K)
