– Practice Notes: In addition to the scrimmage notes. Here are some other team notes I was able to obtain over the weekend…

DeShon Elliott had an INT on the day and run with the 1’s all day. He seems to have locked down his starting safety spot.

I mentioned that OT Jean Delance could be a guy that gets looks at RT, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I was told only Elijah Rodriguez, Tristen Nickelson, and Denzel Okafor are the main guy getting reps at RT.

Gary Johnson and Jeffrey McCulloch ran with the 2’s a lot, but I was told they were really good at times. Johnson is going to push Malik Jefferson for a starting spot and McCulloch will do the same with Naashon Hughes.

Syracuse grad transfer TE Kendall Moore has been practicing, and he’s going to play a lot in 2017. – (Andrew)

Notes From Herman/Orlando: After practice today, Tom Herman and Todd Orlando spoke to the media.

Herman said Jason Hall is out with a concussion right now, as I reported he was injured Saturday. DE Malcolm Roach also hurt his toe today and will get some X-Rays.

Herman praised S DeShon Elliott, as I’ve noted he seemed to have a really good scrimmage. The light may be coming on for the JR.

Todd Orlando said Anthony Wheeler has solidified the MLB spot so far. Breckyn Hager is backing him up. Gary Johnson is backing Malik Jefferson up on the weak-side.

Todd Orlando praised freshman DE Taquon Graham. So both Herman and Orlando avenue done it already in the first week of camp. The DE from Temple has made an early impact.
