– Left Tackle Situation: ICYMI, Texas’ All-American OT Connor Williams sustained a sprain of the MCL and PCL in his left knee and meniscus and is expected to undergo surgery in the next week or so. After he went out, Tristen Nickelson bumped over to left tackle and Denzel Okafor entered at right tackle.

While having Nickelson at LT will probably be scary for a lot of people, I bet that’s where he stays for now. In fall camp RS freshman JP Urquidez was the backup LT and now Florida Gator Jean Delance was running with the 3’s. It sounds like the staff has more confidence in Nickelson than throwing Urquidez out to the wolves as they start Big 12 play in under two weeks. Though if they do plan to get Urquidez some game reps, this is a really good time for a bye week.

But as of right now I expect the tackle duo to remain Tristan Nickelson and Denzel Okafor. – (Andrew)

Jaylen Waddle: Last night, Jaylen Waddle released his top six which included: Texas, TAMU, Alabama, Oregon, TCU and Florida State.

Waddle took a visit to Texas last weekend for the San Jose State game. Following the visit I spoke with someone close to Waddle and was told that Texas was running around third place on the list with Alabama appearing to be the current leader. I’ll be reaching out to my source to see if things changed for the better after the performance at USC. – (Super K)

– Jordan Whittington: 2019 star WR, Jordan Whittington (Cuero, TX) has pushed his October 1st commitment date back…

Whittington tells me that he plans to announce sometime after the season and I don’t foresee it extended out too long. He said he wants to see, “how the season unfolds” for his top schools. One can’t ignore the fact that Whittington made a trip to TAMU this past weekend. – (Super K)
