Texas has picked up their 23rd commitment in the 2018 class in Durham School (LA) DL Mike Williams. He officially visited Texas this weekend, and the Longhorn staff did enough to sell him on the program and he decided to pull the trigger.

Williams is an interesting prospect, at 6’2 240 right now. He played QB in HS but Texas likes him at DE. It will be interesting to see him grow into that spot. To say he’s a good athlete for his size would be an understatement. You will be hard pressed to find a young man that big, run like that, change direction like that, accelerate like that.
Williams certainly has the physical tools to be exactly what Orlando wants on the defensive line. How soon he sees the field will depend on how quickly he can take on the roll of becoming full time man in the trenches.
