Calvin Anderson: As some of you may know, Rice’s starting left tackle, Calvin Anderson will become a graduate transfer this upcoming May.

Anderson has earned Honorable Mention All C-USA awards. He stands at a true NFL 6’5 and 300 lbs. He’s originally from Austin (Westlake HS).

In terms of interest from Texas, Anderson tells us, “They’re very interested, likely will plan a visit there soon. I have had multiple conversations with coach Warehime since getting my release”.

Picking up Anderson to go along with Grandy and the development of the young guys, plus the added competition in the QB room with the addition of Rising and Thompson…now you’re talking! – (Super K)

Joshua Moore: 2018 WR, Joshua Moore (Yoakum, TX) tells me that he will take a official visit to Texas this weekend.

Texas A&M is thought to be the team to beat but we will see what we can find out. – (Super K)

Tyrese Johnson-Fisher: Texas has looked at some RBs to possibly pair with commit Keaontay Ingram. The big thing Texas is looking for is a guy with elite speed. You saw that when they pursued Crosby (TX) ATH Craig Williams, who stuck with his Baylor commitment and signed with the Bears.

Johnson-Fisher is a guy similar to that, as he ran a 10.73 100m when he was 17 years old. The one thing about Johnson-Fisher that makes him an extremely interesting prospect is that he’s from England and has never played football in his life, only rugby. Video of Johnson-Fisher playing rugby went viral when he was only 15, and now he wants to give college football a shot.

I caught up with him recently and he only holds offers from Central Arkansas and Charlotte. But bigger schools are in contact with him, two he named were Penn State and Texas. Right now, he told me Texas is kinda just waiting to offer right now to see if they have a spot for him in the class. He said Texas will certainly get a visit if an offer comes.

Johnson-Fisher is an extremely interesting prospect, and I’m honestly not sure what happens with him. But it’s good to see that Texas is at least giving him a look, as he’s a freak athlete. – (Andrew)

– Texas offered 2018 Texas A&M DE commit, Tyree Wilson (New London, TX). No word yet from Wilson on whether he will visit Texas. He is simply affirming that he is committed to Texas A&M. With Ossai leaning Texas’ way now, it would appear Herman and co. are going for the jugular.

– Also, spoke with a source regarding what the priorities will be going forward as Texas looks to finish the 2018 class. Horns have quite a few spots left. Defensive line and slot wide receiver will be priorities but source said beyond that it will be about the best available players irrespective of their position.

– While Texas will push for Lawrence Keys, don’t think for a minute things are over between Texas and Jaylen Waddle. As soon as the dead period is over, the Horns will make another hard run at the talented receiver and there have been plenty of Texas players pushing him Texas’ direction.

EE Move in Date: As you all know, Texas will bring in 9 early enrollees in the 2018 class.

QB Cam Rising

QB Casey Thompson

WR Brennan Eagles

OT Mikey Grandy

CB Caden Sterns

CB Anthony Cook

S BJ Foster

LB Ayodele Adeoye

P Ryan Bujcevski

I’ve talked to most of those guys and they plan to move-in at Texas on Thursday. School starts on the 16th so those guys will be in Austin for good very soon. Just wanted to pass that along.
