The 40 Updates | (Feb. 5, 2019)

It was a special weekend for Texas Baseball with the unveiling of  Augie Garrido’s bust in front of UFCU Disch-Falk Field before the Alumni Game.

On top of the Augie bust, my biggest takeaway of the afternoon on Saturday was that Roger Clemens at 56 years old, is still throwing heat. He topped out at 85 mph in his one inning pitched in the alumni game.

Texas also officially unveiled their new threads for this season.

Texas fell to Iowa State 65-60 on Saturday. The loss sends them to 12-10 on the season and 4-5 in Big 12 play.

Texas once again shot an underwhelming 39.3% and 26.1% from beyond the arc.

Texas hosts Baylor on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

Big congrats to Malcom Brown for winning his second Super Bowl ring.

No. 1 Baylor escaped a hard fought game from Karen Aston’s squad. The loss sends the No. 14 Longhorns to 18-5 on the season but are sitting nice for a NCAA Tournament bid.
