The 40 Updates | March 4, 2019

The first 40 Updates of March is a real good one! = CJ Vogel

BASEBALL

We’ll start on the diamond where David Pierce’s squad swept (!!) No. 1 LSU thanks to a 3-run rally in the ninth inning capped off by a walk-off single by Austin Todd to win game three 7-6.

Texas’ pitching staff held LSU to 11 runs TOTAL for the weekend. The Tigers were averaging more than 11 runs per game coming into the series.

Words cannot describe the difference Chris Del Conte has made for Texas athletics.

2019 NFL Combine

For Texas fans, I bet it was very reassuring season multiple guys in Indianapolis again. Seems like a while since the Combine consisted of many Longhorns.

BASKETBALL

Texas gets a much needed victory over Iowa State in large part thanks to the absurd shooting performance from Jase Febres.

SOFTBALL

It was not the friendliest of weekends for Mike White’s squad, but regardless, Texas is now 16-3 on the season.

THE OPENING

Card was also invited to the Elite 11 QB Camp.

After being on campus Saturday, Kimber balled out at The Opening and won the fastest man competition with a 4.43 40-yard dash.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

Which 2020 target do you feel is being the most underrated so far in this cycle?

  • I’ve mentioned this many a times but WR Quentin Johnston and CB Joshua Eaton are two guys I feel are very, very low in most rankings.
